Vietnam Memorial

We stopped at the Vietnam Memorial this morning.

Our guide Sonny has been doing a great job. He has a great knack for making his descriptions of things educational but also fun. This stop needed a more serious discussion.

After this we went to the World War II memorial.  Some of the scouts had the honor of talking with some World War II veterans at the site. The scouts listened and were very mature in their conversation.

Do a favor - visit www.honorflight.org. This group is an all volunteer organization  that makes trips happen for military veterans to get to DC to see the memorials. I had a great conversation with a veteran and his daughter about their experience.
