It was about a twenty minute walk over. The interesting part was going over the Consol Energy bridge. It crosses a deep ravine and is how we get from our sub camp to the Arena place.
With a constant stream of Scouts the bridge "gives and takes" a little. It was going a little up, then down and then side to side. If anyone knows of that bridge in the 1940's they nicknamed "Galloping Girdy" it was like that but better controlled and better built.
The Arena show was a bit boring. Lots of dignitaries and speeches. Not the sort of stuff that get the Scouts excited. After about an hour and close to the end the scouts got my OK to leave and wander around (using the buddy system).
There was a country band act at the show. No one heard of them and I can't remember who they were.
We followed the instructions to wear our full Field Uniforms but after the walk and sitting in the sun we allowed them to take their beige uniforms off.
After the Arena show, the Scouts scattered and could visit some of activity areas or the visitor area.
