We got the bus packed with duffel bags first. Then went to get breakfast before we left.
We were supposed to leave at 6:30 sharp - supposed to is the key phrase. We have to be at the checkin location right at noon or otherwise we loose our time and go to the back of the line.
Turns out another troop had an injured scout needing attention. Then, a troop did not do a head count and realized at 6:45 (15 minutes after scheduled to leave) that one entire room of four scouts were still sleeping.
We are on the road now and trying to make up time. At least we are going West - traffic jam going East into DC is ugly.
Probably won't post until later today. Checkin will be certain to be a long process. I will try to post our safe arrival time.
Scoutmaster Jon
Thanks Jon for the updates. It makes us feel like we are on the adventure with the troop. But of course we are not as tired as all of you after 3 days in DC.
