We had a good night tonight.
It started off with a rather serious discussion about the Scout Oath and Law. The Scouts have taken a step backwards and had to be reminded about being courteous and kind. We have had some issues with trash and general cleanliness as well as with the ability to not take others property. I am confident that there not be a need for another talk. If you hear that Mr. Sturgis had a stern talk with the scouts, yes, I did.
On a positive note, tonight was the All Celebrations night. Every troop was provided cakes to celebrate any occasion. We had no birthdays. No wedding anniversaries (for adults). So we just celebrated.
At the 2010 Jamboree parents could buy individual cakes which probably was a bit of a logistical issue. We assume that is why they went to one night only.
